with the Platform:
Identification data: first name, last name, username, country, preferred language.

Billing and payment data: banking or card information (processed through secure payment gateways such as Stripe or PayPal).
Profile data: learning language, level, availability, and academic preferences.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, operating system, and website usage

No specially protected data (such as health information, sexual orientation, or religious
beliefs) is collected unless the User voluntarily and explicitly provides it.
3. Purposes of Data Processing

4. Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds:
Performance of a contract: when data is necessary to provide Teachify’s services (bookings, classes, payments).
Compliance with legal obligations: particularly in tax, accounting, and data protection matters.
Consent of the data subject: for optional commercial or analytical communications.
Legitimate interest: to ensure Platform security, prevent fraud, and improve service quality.
5. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties
Teachify will only share personal data in the following cases:
Technology and payment service providers: to ensure the proper functioning of the Platform (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Zoom, Google Workspace).
Collaborating teachers: only the data necessary to deliver classes (student’s name and contact details).
Legal obligations: when required by judicial or administrative authorities.
Under no circumstances will personal data be sold, rented, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes without the User’s explicit consent.
6. International Data Transfers
Teachify may use technological services located outside the European Economic Area
(EEA).
In such cases, Teachify ensures that providers comply with Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, ensuring a level of protection equivalent to European standards.
7. Data Retention
Personal data will be retained:
● For the duration of the contractual relationship with the User.
● For the time required to comply with legal obligations (e.g., invoices: 6 years).
● Until the User requests deletion of their data or withdraws consent.
Once these periods have expired, the data will be blocked and subsequently securely deleted.
8. User Rights
The User may exercise the following rights at any time:
Access: obtain information about the data being processed.
Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): request deletion of their data.
Restriction: limit processing in certain circumstances.
Portability: receive their data in a structured, transferable format.
Objection: object to data processing on legitimate grounds.
To exercise these rights, the User must send an email to [email protected], specifying the right they wish to exercise and properly identifying themselves.
The User also has the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if they believe the processing of their data violates applicable regulations.

Teachify implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data, including encryption, access controls, and secure backups.
However, Users should be aware that no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure and therefore assume the technical risks associated with online connections.
10. Commercial Communications
Teachify may send promotional or informational communications about its services only when the User has given express consent.
The User may unsubscribe from such communications at any time via the link included in each email or by writing to [email protected] with the subject line “Unsubscribe communications.”
11. Modifications to the Privacy Policy
Teachify reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt it to new legal requirements or changes in the operation of the Platform.
Modifications will be published on www.teachifyapp.com and will enter into force from the moment of publication.
