Welcome Marc!
Hi Guys!
In today’s extra special blog post we are going to be getting to know the latest addition to our Sevilla team, Marc!
So Marc, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Well, I was born in Croydon in the South of London and have lived in different parts of England over the years. I came to Seville in 2012 and have been teaching English ever since then!
Cool! So What brought you to Spain/Seville?
When I made the decision to move to Spain, I didn’t have a clue where I wanted to live specifically. It sounds strange, but the name «Sevilla» grabbed my attention and I decided to research the city further. Although I was open to living anywhere in Spain, it was difficult to get Seville out of my head. In the end, I was lucky enough to find work here and I haven’t looked back since!
And, What is your favourite Spanish food?
There are so many that I can’t choose just one, BUT if I had to pick, it might be the first dish I ever tried in Seville: carrillada.
Good choice! What do you enjoy doing when you aren't teaching?
What do you enjoy most about working for teachify?
The positive atmosphere: so many of the students I work with really love to challenge themselves and are always looking for new phrases to express themselves even better!
What is your go to Karaoke Song?
If I’m in a karaoke bar, the chances are that I’ll try to sing the whole catalogue! But, no matter the night, there always seems to be a moment for ‘How Deep is Your Love?’ by The Bee Gees
What is your top tip for English learners?
Got a TV series you love? Why not go back and watch it all again, this time in English! That way, you won’t get lost as you already know the story, but you can see it through new eyes 😉
